Growing up, a lot of us passed by this Apsara portrait every single day. Stopping to look up. The Apsara dancers seemed so beautiful, so glamorous, so royal like they belonged to another world. This portrait has always been a part of our homes. 

Back then, there weren’t many Cambodian cultural pieces. So when our parents and grandparents found something like this, they held onto it. It was their way of keeping Srok Khmer close.
