Did You Eat Yet

Misses Ko

I hope you love this collection. I tried to create it in the most respectful and loving way I could, for a culture that loved me differently than the one I grew up in. A culture that welcomed me and gave me a place to land when I was living in fight or flight.

I hope you feel seen in these designs, especially knowing they were created by artists who understand what it means to be Filipino and are sharing pieces of their own stories.

Thank you for being the mother to our sons. For showing them what it means to be loved by a Filipino mom, to carry their Filipino culture with pride and to grow up knowing they never have to choose between the parts of who they are.

I’m so grateful I get to build this little mixed family with you. And even more grateful that LOOK YAY! gets to play a small part in making sure our boys see themselves, their family and the cultures that raised them represented in the world around them.

I love you.
