Kain Na

Kain na! or Come eat! is an invitation that brings Filipinos together around the dinner table. It represents the everyday traditions that make a house feel like home.

Designed by Kody Ignacio @comic.kody as part of the Did You Eat Yet? collection, this pin celebrates a staple of Filipino households: the wooden kutsara (spoon) and tinidor (fork). Recognizable across Filipino and Filipino American homes, these humble utensils carry memories of the comfort of gathering around the table.

Inspired by traditional carved wooden utensils, Kody reimagined their familiar silhouettes with a flowing bundle of flowers blooming from their handles and reaching toward one another. The four flowers represent the stars and sun of the Philippine flag. The floral details also compliment the Kumain Ka Na Ba pin, connecting the pieces through a shared visual language and a love for Filipino culture.

The product photography was captured by Jessie Crystle @crystlestudios, whose creative eye brings the design to life in a setting that evokes the warmth and familiarity of home.
